Overview

West Lancashire College is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Science Lecturer to deliver core scientific principles across our Forensic and Criminal Investigation courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in biology, chemistry and physics, contextualising learning within forensic and criminal justice settings. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop a strong scientific foundation, applying theory to real-world investigative scenarios to enhance understanding and engagement.

Working closely with the wider curriculum team, you will contribute to a high-quality learning experience that promotes analytical thinking, practical skills, and progression into higher education or careers within forensic science and related fields. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator or industry professional with relevant subject expertise, who is passionate about inspiring students and bringing science to life within a specialist vocational context.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry and physics within forensic and criminal investigation contexts.

Qualifications
  • Relevant subject expertise in science (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics) and experience in teaching or applying science in a forensic or vocational context.
