Location:Hybrid/Flexible (Office located: Lancashire, WN8)
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing online pharmacy and play a critical role in overseeing the management accounts operations of the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting, strong financial controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing timely financial analysis and insight. It is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
As Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Enhance the reporting cycle to ensure shortened month end timetable
- Produce accurate financial statements and reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Manage year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts
- Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insights
- Liaise with FP&A team on financial models & budgets
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and management
- Monitor working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory
- Ensure effective credit control and treasury management
Controls, Processes & Compliance
- Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures
- Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices
- Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Manage & mentor an assistant management accountant
- Act as a key finance business partner to non-finance stakeholders
- Support operational managers with financial guidance and decision-making.

You're a finance professional with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills. You enjoy making complex financial information easy to understand, and you're organised, proactive, and confident in solving problems as they arise. Above all, you bring integrity and professionalism to everything you do, helping the business make informed decisions with confidence.
Qualifications &
Experience:
The successful Finance Manager will possess the following skills and experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting
- Experience with financial systems and Excel (advanced level desirable)
- Experience managing or mentoring staff (desirable).
