Imports & Exports Coordinator – Wigan – £30,000 Per Annum People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Imports & Exports Coordinator to join our well-established client based in Appley Bridge, Wigan . £30,000 Per Annum | Monday to Friday | 8:30am–5:00pm | Permanent | Annual Bonus | Immediate Start Available This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an Imports & Exports Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator, Import Coordinator, Export Coordinator, Freight Coordinator, Customs Administrator or International Logistics Coordinator. Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 8:30am–5:00pm
• Full-time, permanent position
• Based onsite in Appley Bridge, Wigan Rates of Pay • £30,000 per annum

• Immediate start available for the right candidate Day-to-Day Duties As an Imports & Exports Coordinator, your duties will include:
• Coordinating import and export shipments across air, sea and road freight
• Managing shipments from start to finish, including imports, exports and transshipments
• Liaising with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, couriers and internal departments
• Preparing and processing shipping, customs, commercial and transport documentation
• Monitoring shipments and providing regular updates to customers and colleagues
• Resolving delivery issues, shipment discrepancies and customs queries
• Supporting customs declarations and providing the required information to HMRC
• Booking and managing shipments through bonded warehouse systems and Sage 200
• Gathering shipment readiness information from suppliers
• Coordinating consolidated loads
• Maintaining accurate shipment records, filing and reporting
• Monitoring freight costs and assisting with quotations and freight rates
• Liaising with freight forwarders to secure competitive shipping arrangements
• Ensuring compliance with UK customs requirements and international trade regulations
• Identifying opportunities to improve import, export and logistics processes Essential Skills
• Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or import/export operations
• Knowledge of customs procedures and international trade requirements
• Experience or a good understanding of customs declarations
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and competing priorities
• Strong communication skills when dealing with customers, suppliers and freight companies
• Confidence working in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience using logistics, stock or business management systems

Desirable Experience
• Previous experience using Sage 200
• Experience working with bonded warehouse systems Training Provided
