Job Overview

We are looking for two reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistants to support a bubbly and engaging adult gentleman living in the Skelmersdale area. Hours & Flexibility:
Hours can be worked midweek or at weekends, with flexibility to suit both parties. Some evening work may be required.

The role involves providing practical and social support, including:

• Light household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping
• Supporting and encouraging the client to access the community and participate in activities
• Providing motivation and positive encouragement to help him build confidence and stay active

The client enjoys a wide range of activities including:

• RC cars
• Animals
• Attending car meets
• Fishing
• Snooker/pool
• Gym and swimming
• Cinema visits
• Retro gaming

He is open to trying new things but benefits from lots of encouragement and positive engagement.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Clearly spoken with good communication skills
• Patient, proactive and engaging
• Able to encourage participation in activities in a calm and supportive way
• Aware of Autism and epilepsy (experience preferred but not essential)
• Sensitive to tone of voice, as the client is particularly responsive to how things are said
• A car driver is desirable but not essential
