Conveyancing Assistant – Commercial Property

A great opportunity for a conveyancing assistant to join a busy Commercial Property team in Skipton, with plenty of client contact, a supportive learning environment and clear scope to progress.

This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who is accurate, organised and confident working through high volumes of work while keeping clients and colleagues updated.

You will provide administrative support to a Commercial Property team handling a high-volume caseload of sale, purchase and lease transactions. You’ll play a key part in keeping matters moving, maintaining accurate file records and delivering a professional, friendly service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opening new files, inputting instructions onto the case management system and producing relevant letters and documents
  • Updating the case management system in line with team procedures as matters progress
  • Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries
  • Ordering searches and supporting the progression of matters
  • Supporting exchanges and completion steps, including related paperwork
  • Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients
  • Dealing with incoming post and telephone enquiries where appropriate
  • General administration including filing, billing, copying, sorting post and archiving
What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • At least 6 months’ experience in conveyancing (or a similar fast-paced property support role)
  • Confident IT skills and ability to pick up systems quickly (case management experience preferred)
  • Accurate, organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident handling enquiries in a customer-friendly and professional way
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure
  • Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
