The Role - KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) As a KS1 HLTA working through Academics, you will:
Lead small group interventions and deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence. Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities. Help create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Foster pupils' independence, confidence, and love of learning. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure every child thrives. About You To be considered for this KS1 HLTA position, you should have:
Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a Key Stage 1 setting. HLTA status or an equivalent Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards it). Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. The confidence to lead groups and deliver pre-planned lessons independently.
