Primary School Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1 Skipton & Surrounding Areas Academics are currently recruiting a reliable and adaptable Primary School Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 pupils across our partner primary schools in and around Skipton. This role is ideal for an experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of KS1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year
2), who is confident supporting learning in a range of school settings and understands the flexibility of supply work. The successful candidate will:
Have experience supporting children across Key Stage 1 Assist the class teacher with delivering pre-planned lessons and activities Provide 1:1 and small group support where required Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines Demonstrate a calm, nurturing and engaging approach Be flexible, professional and reliable for short-term, long-term or emergency cover Adapt quickly to different school environments and expectations Academics works closely with a wide range of North Yorkshire primary schools, offering regular and flexible supply opportunities.
