The Principle Trust Children’s Charity is Yorkshire’s leading respite charity that provides free week-long breaks for children facing adversity. They believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of childhood, regardless of the challenges they face.
The charity was founded by Mike Davies MBE in 2011, inspired by his own childhood experience. As they celebrate their 15th anniversary, they are delighted to have supported more than 6,000 children with breaks across their eight holiday homes in Blackpool, the Lake District and Filey.
“A respite break is far more than just a holiday. It provides families with the opportunity to rest, reconnect and create positive memories together, helping improve wellbeing, strengthen family relationships and offer hope during incredibly difficult times.”
It is an exciting period, with a new holiday home at Primrose Valley in Filey they can now support more families than ever before. Along with a refocused mission to place children’s mental wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
We are looking for a Partnerships and Engagement Coordinator to join their small but mighty team.
The RoleReporting to the Partnerships and Engagement Manager you will work closely with them to develop and nurture relationships with corporate organisations, SME businesses and community supporters across the Yorkshire region.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Raising awareness through networking and other fundraising activities.
- Building long‑term partnerships with new and existing supporters.
- Organising and supporting events.
- Working to set income targets, to support for more families across Yorkshire.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about building relationships.
This role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to network and present to a variety of businesses and potential supporters. The role also requires excellent time management so you must be organised and able to prioritise.
Ideally you will have prior experience within a fundraising role however we are also looking for anyone who is keen to transfer their skills from a sales, account management, business development or relationship management role.
Please note as the role requires travel across the region applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle for business use.
