Overview
QC Team Leader – Raw Materials & Sampling. Full-time, on site.
Location:
Skipton, ENG, GB. Day shift, Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30. 9-day fortnight, every other Friday off. Competitive salary + benefits. £45,000 per annum.
- Lead the Raw Materials & Sampling team, ensuring sampling, testing and reporting are completed accurately, on time and in full.
- Maintain production flow by ensuring materials are available when needed and collaborate with manufacturing, packaging and third‑party laboratories.
- Own the sampling booth and equipment; support investigations and deviations; ensure the team is fully trained and confident in their work.
- Contribute to safety culture by carrying out inspections, supporting CAPA activity and maintaining a compliant laboratory environment.
- Communicate effectively as a key member of the team; chair Tier 1 meetings, escalate issues when needed, and drive continuous improvement across the department.
- Help achieve Right First Time results, meet KPIs and maintain GMP/compliance with regulatory standards.
- Smooth, timely sampling and testing with no delays to production.
- Strong Right First Time performance and adherence to schedules.

- Positive audit outcomes and robust GMP compliance.
Essential:
- Experience leading analytical or testing teams in GMP, pharmaceutical, food, automotive, aeronautical or similar regulated environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with raw material testing (wet chemistry, chromatography, spectroscopy).
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Great problem‑solving skills, strong communication and the ability to manage workload effectively.
