Location:
Sleaford, Lincolnshire (Office-based with travel as required)
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 DOE + Car Allowance / Benefits
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the structured delivery of commercial mechanical projects from initiation through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead full project lifecycle delivery from initiation through to final handover.
* Assess feasibility, define budgets, allocate resources, and develop labour and procurement programmes.
* Work closely with the Commercial Director on contractual and commercial matters.
* Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including Gantt charts and progress tracking.
* Promote high standards of health & safety, conducting site inspections and ensuring RAMS compliance.
* Lead, motivate and coordinate project teams, site managers and foremen.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, interim applications, progress and variations.
* Coordinate with in-house design teams to ensure drawings, registers and technical submissions are accurate.
* Monitor project risk using look-aheads, site reports and monthly reviews.
* Control programme performance and financial delivery.
* Provide clear and consistent reporting to senior management and clients.
* Conduct project close-out reviews to support continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on commercial projects.
* Strong understanding of structured project management methodologies (PMI knowledge desirable).
* Commercially astute with strong budgeting, planning and risk management skills.
* Experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.
* Confident handling technical documentation and coordinating design teams.
* Strong communication, organisational and client-facing skills.
* Willingness to travel as required.
