Automotive Mechanic – Slidell, LA

NTB is proud to join the Mavis Tire family. We are looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Slidell, LA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

As Mavis’s under‑car repair leaders, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles.

Duties include:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair under‑car components such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated inspections.
• Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Required:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education, training, or experience.
• Extensive personal tool set for under‑car repairs.

Preferred:

• State inspection license(s).

  Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), Brakes (A5).

Physical demands: mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, and reach, and regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
