Under limited supervision, performs complex and diverse administrative tasks for contracts associated with government, commercial and international customers. The Sr. Contracts Assistant will:
- Gather data, maintain logs, and prepare reports for internal and external customers.
- Ensure contract deliverables are accurately tracked and reported.
- Review incoming contract documents for accuracy and completeness, prepare and route them for approvals, enter approved data into the corporate database, and maintain accurate and complete contract files, databases and records.
- Update and maintain the System for Award Management (SAM) for all business lines and site locations.
- Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings and training seminars.
- Support process‑improvement initiatives from inception to execution.
- Support audit teams and government inquiries by coordinating and preparing responses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in administrative tasks related to business operations, customer relations, process improvements and/or cost analysis.
- Familiarity with government contracts is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player who works well with others.
- Strong oral, written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet critical deadlines and protect sensitive data.
- Independently resolve issues, recognize challenges, and make timely decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (plus).
- Position requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
- Current or completed bachelor’s degree in law, business, legal studies, communications, political science or related field. 3–5 years of related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience administering government contracts, including knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and contract policies.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience with process‑improvement initiatives.
- Flexible work schedules: compressed weeks, 5/8, 9/80, 4/10s.
