About This Role

Textron Systems is seeking engineers of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle designed to be feared and a force‑multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full‑spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting‑edge technologies that will keep adversaries up tonmouth was developed using a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) that is Ground Vehicle Operating System (GVOS) based employing the Tactical Assault Kit Extended (TAK‑X) framework for easy capability integration.

This modern vehicle platform has superior mobility capabilities to tackle treacherous off‑road terrain and waterways while keeping Marines safe thanks to its advanced survivability suite and Human System Interface (HSI) focus. Amphibious mobility, unrivaled versatility, and electronic warfare capabilities set it apart.

We are seeking highly skilled Test Engineers to join our dynamic engineering team. This is an interdisciplinary role, enabling the full life‑cycle development of our products. The role may include supporting development of new products and product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and development of fielding solutions for our military and commercial customers. Required experience includes hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and successfully working within a collaborative team environment.

A desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute tests for products (hardware, software, systems) to ensure quality, functionality, and reliability; create test plans, write test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for fixes; ensure products meet specifications and user needs before launch.
  • Test Planning & Design:
    Understand requirements, define scope, objectives, and resources, then create detailed test plans, strategies, and procedures.
  • Test Case Development:
    Write specific test cases and scripts for various tests (functional, performance, security, etc.).
  • Test Execution:
    Run tests, monitor the development and production process, and manage controlled testing environments.
  • Defect Management:
    Identify, document (using bug trackers), report, and track software/hardware and product defects.
  • Collaboration & Feedback:
    Work with developers, process engineers, and management to provide insights, suggest improvements, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Reporting:
    Analyze results, document findings, and prepare and present test engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers at program milestone reviews.
  • Interact daily with technical leads, program managers, planners, technicians, and other engineers.
  • Drive tasks to completion independently, aided by appropriate supervision and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with others within the workgroup, other departments, and the customer.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of demonstrated project leadership experience preferred; experience with hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design.
  • Testing and integrating new technology into our ground vehicle product family throughout the lifecycle of the program.
