A leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include delegating and directing licensed and ancillary staff, ensuring quality patient outcomes, fostering diversity sensitivity, and supporting organizational goals.
EducationRequired: Registered nurse diploma.
Work ExperiencePreferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Required: None.
Required: Current registered nurse license in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS).
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Heavy work: occasional lifting of 50 to 100 pounds; frequent lifting of 25 to 50 pounds; constant lifting of 10 to 20 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potential hazardous medications. Occupational risk for communicable diseases and hazardous waste.
