COOK (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) at Compass One Healthcare (Morrison Healthcare)

Location: Slidell Memorial Hospital – 1001 Gause Boulevard, Slidell, LA 70458.
Schedule: Full time and part time (Monday‑Friday and rotating weekends).
Pay Range: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour.
Requirement: Cook experience required. Applications accepted online only. Hiring immediate.

Prepares food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, presentation, and taste.
• Employ ticket collection procedures during service; maintain records during service periods.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving; maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Store or discard excess food per safe food‑handling procedures; keep refrigerators and storerooms clean.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting.
• Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Show personal commitment to own safety and that of others.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures (e.g., use of gloves, oven mitts, slip‑resistant shoes, proper lifting techniques).
