The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Intern will support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Working closely with site leadership and EH&S personnel, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk reduction, employee training, and continuous improvement activities. The internship provides practical exposure to EH&S programs while contributing to projects that support a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Primary

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with safety inspections and workplace audits.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS records and documentation.
• Conduct safety observations and assessments.
• Assist with employee safety training initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance activities.
• Analyze safety performance metrics and trends.
• Participate in safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Assist with environmental, health, and safety programs and initiatives.
• Support the collection, organization, and analysis of EH&S data and metrics.
• Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Help maintain EH&S records, documentation, and regulatory compliance files.
• Support employee safety training and awareness programs.
• Assist with environmental programs related to waste management, recycling, emissions, water management, or sustainability initiatives.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other project documentation as needed.

Education:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work in a combination of office, laboratory, manufacturing, or other operational environments depending on assigned projects and business needs.
