Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Direct Care Companion in the Slippery Rock area
. Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years, helping individuals and families with life’s changing needs. The Direct Care Companion provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring each person is treated with respect and dignity. They assist individuals in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community.
Position Summary:
The Direct Care Companion improves quality of life by supporting individuals to live more independently in their home and community.
Schedule:
This full-time position works a schedule of 7:00am – 11:00pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm shifts.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to individuals and support independence in daily living activities.
- Respect and safeguard the dignity of each individual.
- Assist individuals in achieving anticipated outcomes and quality of life goals.
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift 200 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
