Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established Chartered Accountancy firm in Slough to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to join a supportive, client-focused practice that offers genuine career development and exposure to a varied portfolio of clients.
Working closely with managers and partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services while building strong relationships with clients across a range of industries.
Key responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Producing management accounts and financial reports.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted point of contact.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Liaising with HMRC and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to client businesses.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience will also be considered).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
