Management Accountant (Accounting firm) Slough, Berkshire (Hybrid) £40,000 to £50,000Weston Brook Associates is partnering with a well-established and prominent professional services firm to recruit a Management Accountant for their growing team.

The RoleAs a Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted financial contact for a portfolio of businesses, supporting clients with their reporting needs and helping them gain greater visibility over their financial performance. Working within a team of experienced accounting and systems experts, you will be involved in both routine reporting and broader client‑focused projects, gaining valuable exposure to cloud accounting technologies and evolving financial processes.
- Deliver timely and accurate management reporting for a portfolio of UK and international businesses
- Analyse financial data and provide clients with meaningful commentary on business performance
- Take ownership of day‑to‑day client relationships and act as a key point of contact
- Review accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout reporting cycles
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies identified
- Prepare indirect tax submissions and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines
- Support clients in making effective use of accounting and finance systems
- Contribute to the implementation of process improvements and more efficient financial workflows
- Work closely with colleagues on client onboarding, reporting projects and systems‑related initiatives
- At least 4+ years' experience in a management accounting/bookkeeping/outsourcing role with a UK based accounting firm environment.
- Strong grounding in double‑entry bookkeeping principles and experience preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Working knowledge of cloud‑based and ERP accounting systems such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP
- Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple assignments
- £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
