VAT Assistant Manager; In-House

Tax & Treasury Recruitment have been engaged by a fast-growing multinational business to find a Senior VAT Analyst for their in-house tax team.

You will be joining a high-performing tax function that is expanding to support the company's ongoing growth across the UK, US, EMEA, and APAC regions.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious indirect tax professional to take project ownership, influence system evolution, and become a recognised internal subject matter expert.

Your role

• Own the review and submission of VAT returns across UK, EMEA, and APAC jurisdictions.
• Manage and implement new international VAT registrations.
• Deliver commercial, real-time VAT advice to sales, finance, and operational teams.
• Identify and drive process improvements across VAT and EC Sales reporting.
• Optimise the newly integrated automated indirect tax ERP solution.
• Prepare the business for upcoming European e-invoicing and digital compliance mandates.
• Collaborate with external advisory teams on complex cross-border VAT matters.

About you

You will have a strong foundation in UK VAT principles, combined with excellent communication skills to effectively train and advise non-tax stakeholders.

Your experience can come from either an in-house environment or a top-tier practice, and a recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or ICAS) is required.

While international VAT experience is advantageous, the hiring manager places the highest value on learning agility, curiosity, and the drive to take ownership.

You can expect

Up to £65,000 basic salary, plus bonus
