Neighbourhood Assistant – Slough – Temporary – Full Time
The Role- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Neighbourhood Team.
- Deliver tenancy management services efficiently, supporting residents and officers across a wide range of housing activities.
- Manage diaries, correspondence, telephone enquiries, electronic records, keys, fobs and general office administration.
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices and support financial administration processes.
- Prepare tenancy documentation, arrange property viewings, complete tenancy sign‑ups and conduct identity checks.
- Support court preparation for tenancy enforcement, access applications and anti‑social behaviour cases.
- Maintain accurate tenancy records on NEC (or similar housing management systems), including tenancy changes, audits and estate inspections.
- Support garage and parking space administration, void processes, mutual exchanges, performance reporting and partnership working across council services.
- Previous experience in a similar housing administration, neighbourhood services or tenancy support role, ideally within a Local Authority or Housing Association environment.
- Experience providing comprehensive administrative support within a busy team.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using databases or housing management systems such as NEC.
- Experience of financial administration, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
- An understanding of social housing, tenancy management processes and effective partnership working with internal and external partners.
Working Hours:
Full Time – 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Length of
Contract:
3‑Month Contract
Rate: £20.81 per hour LTD company rate. PAYE equivalent: £17.74 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
