6-Month Initial Contract, Hybrid – London

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Operating Model expertise to support a large-scale transformation programme within a leading financial services environment. This role is heavily focused on operating model design, process transformation, governance enhancement, and organisational change across business and operational functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping shape and improve target operating models, business processes, and operational frameworks across the organisation.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on complex operating model transformation initiatives within banking or regulated financial services environments.

The Role

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Technology, Product, and Business teams to support the design and enhancement of operating models and associated business processes. The role will involve analysing current-state operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping define future-state operating structures, governance frameworks, and process models that support strategic transformation objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys working on operating model change initiatives within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support operating model design and transformation initiatives across the programme
  • Analyse and document current-state ("as-is") operating models, processes, governance structures, and workflows
  • Define future-state ("to-be") operating models and operational frameworks
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and transformation opportunities
  • Work closely with business, operations, risk, and technology teams to gather and translate requirements
  • Produce key operating model and business analysis artefacts including:
    • Governance frameworks
    • Process maps and workflows
    • Business and functional requirements
    • User stories and acceptance criteria
    • Stakeholder analysis and requirements catalogues
  • Support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities to improve governance and delivery models
  • Ensure requirements and deliverables align to programme objectives and governance standards
Required Experience
  • Strong Business Analysis experience within operating model transformation or business change programmes
  • Proven experience supporting Target Operating Model (TOM) design and implementation initiatives
  • Strong process mapping and process optimisation capabilities, including as‑is / to‑be operating models and process flows
  • Governance and organisational structures, business requirements, user stories, operating procedures, and controls
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Ability to work across business, operational, and technology teams within complex environments
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Highly Desirable
  • Experience in Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • Experience in Operational Resilience (OpRes)
  • Experience in Governance or organisational design initiatives
  • Experience in large banking or regulated financial services organisations
Personal Attributes
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach to delivery
  • Comfortable operating within fast-paced transformation environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to simplify complex operational concepts into practical and actionable outcomes
  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Hybrid working – London
