One of our Clients in Slough, Berkshire is seeking to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead and grow an effective and efficient service, ensuring the highest standards of care for children.
Requirements- Proven experience managing an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential care for children, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- QCF Level 5 / NVQ 4 Management in Care / Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children & Young Peoples Services (RQF) is essential.
- Passionate, committed, and enthusiastic leader with a drive to make a difference.
- Manage the Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Safeguarding Legislation and Procedures the Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policies and procedures.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing staff team through training and supervision.
- Manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Maintain positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring best practices in child protection.
- Drive continuous improvement and meet a minimum Ofsted rating of GOOD.
