We're working exclusively with a leading UK developer that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments across the country. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of projects, they're looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their experienced team based in Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping major developments from land acquisition through to planning approval, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a business that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role As a Town Planner, you'll provide planning expertise across a diverse portfolio of residential-led developments, helping to maximise land opportunities and secure planning permissions that support the company's ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and managing planning applications from inception through to determination. Liaising with local planning authorities, statutory consultees and external stakeholders. Providing planning advice to internal land, design and technical teams. Supporting the appraisal of potential land acquisitions through planning due diligence. Managing external planning consultants where required. Monitoring planning policy changes and advising on their potential impact. Representing the business at meetings, consultations and planning committees where appropriate.

About You We're keen to speak with candidates who have: A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline. MRTPI status or be working towards chartership. Previous experience within a consultancy, house builder, developer or local authority. Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning legislation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a collaborative team.
