We are recruiting on behalf of a growing utilities contractor that focus on Gas replacement works.

Due to growth within the business they are now looking to recruit a Site Manager but you must hold specific SCO 1, 2, 5 Qualifications for this position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in gas distribution, utilities, mains replacement, service laying or associated infrastructure works who is looking to take the next step in their career with a reputable organisation.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed to programme, specification and the required quality standards.

You will be responsible for coordinating site teams, subcontractors and resources while maintaining a strong focus on health & safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the day-to-day delivery of gas utility works on site.

* Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.

* Lead and manage site operatives, subcontractors and engineering teams.

* Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources.

* Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues.

* Ensure works comply with relevant gas industry standards, company procedures and health & safety legislation.

* Carry out site inspections, briefings and toolbox talks.

* Maintain accurate site records, permits, documentation and daily reports.

* Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.

* Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to the required specification.

* Identify and manage risks, escalating issues where necessary.

* Support commercial and operational teams with project reporting and progress updates.

* Promote a positive safety culture across the site
