The ProjectOur client is delivering a major data centre development comprising extensive enabling and infrastructure works supporting the construction of multiple data halls and associated facilities.
The project includes significant below-ground and site-wide infrastructure, including:
- Earthworks and cut/fill operations
- Attenuation ponds and drainage networks
- Underground utility corridors
- Site-wide duct installations
- HV and MV power infrastructure
- Data and security ducting systems
- Chambers and utility interfaces
- Foundations and reinforced concrete slabs
- Roads and external infrastructure
- Hard landscaping and external works
- Potential ancillary buildings supporting the data centre campus
The role will involve significant coordination with utility providers, consultants, designers and client teams
, alongside responsibility for design development, consultant appointments, technical coordination and statutory approvals.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the safe, compliant, profitable and timely delivery of assigned project works.
You will take ownership of project objectives across programme, commercial performance, quality, stakeholder management and successful handover, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company governance and client requirements.
Project Leadership & Governance- Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver project objectives safely and efficiently.
- Establish effective governance, project controls and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures and authorisation controls.
- Drive accountability, collaboration and high performance across the project team.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and overall commercial performance.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support change control, forecasting and cost management activities.
- Work closely with the commercial team to maximise project profitability.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and monitor project financial performance.
- Own project delivery against programme objectives and contractual milestones.
- Monitor project performance and implement recovery measures where required.
- Ensure resources, procurement and subcontractor activities support programme requirements.
- Manage project risks, constraints and dependencies.
- Coordinate design, construction and technical interfaces to ensure effective delivery.
- Lead project health, safety and environmental performance.
- Promote a culture of safe delivery and personal accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and statutory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
- Ensure quality plans, inspections and assurance activities are implemented.
