We're recruiting for a Service Controller to join a leading specialist vehicle manufacturer in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a busy service operation, ensuring customers receive exceptional support while helping to keep critical specialist vehicles operating at their best.
The Opportunity As a Service Controller, you'll be the heartbeat of the service department, coordinating engineer schedules, managing customer requests, and ensuring maintenance and repair activities run smoothly from start to finish.
You'll have the chance to work closely with customers, engineers, and operational teams while developing your career within a highly respected organisation that genuinely invests in its people.
Key Responsibilities- Managing customer service requests from initial enquiry through to completion
- Scheduling and coordinating engineer workloads to maximise efficiency
- Creating job cards, service notifications, and ordering required parts
- Tracking contract maintenance activities and ensuring service planners remain up to date
- Processing job sheets accurately and conducting customer follow-up calls
- Delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders
- Supporting site meetings, operational processes, and health & safety initiatives
- Previous experience in a Service Controller, Service Coordinator, Planner, Scheduler, or similar role
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience using SAP or similar service management systems would be advantageous
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience with in engineering, automotive, plant, fleet or technical service environments is desirable
Salary & Bonus
£32,000 - £34,000 basic salary
Annual profit-related bonus scheme worth up to 5% of basic salary
