Learning Support Assistant in Professional Studies
Join to apply for the Learning Support Assistant in Professional Studies role at The Windsor Forest Colleges Group.
Base pay range: £15,958.55 up to £17,737.32 (full time equivalent £24,098 to £26,784). The position is 29.5 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday, at Slough and Langley College campus. It is permanent, termtime only, 37 weeks per year.
In this role, you will support students in the Hair, Beauty, Early Years, and Health & Social Care departments to develop the skills, attributes, and behaviours needed to progress to further study and employment. You will guide them through classroom theory and help them apply this knowledge in practical, technical sessions. Working in a team under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and Lecturers you will assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
This may include supporting whole classes, working with individuals and small groups of learners; assisting with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities; working closely with pastoral and welfare staff to support students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
