1:1 SEN Support Assistant - Slough

In this vital role, you'll be working closely with a specific student or a small group of students, helping them overcome academic, emotional, or behavioural challenges and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant:
Personalised Support:
Provide targeted, one-to-one assistance tailored to the student's specific learning needs-whether academic, social, or emotional.
Learning Facilitation:
Help deliver engaging and accessible lessons, adapting materials and activities to suit the student's learning style and pace.
Progress Monitoring:
Track and record the student's development, regularly sharing updates with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent progress.
Emotional and Social Guidance:
Create a supportive and nurturing environment, helping the student build confidence, independence, and social skills.
Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and parents to implement effective learning and support we're Looking For:
Empathy & Patience: A calm, compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs, especially during challenging moments.
Adaptability:
An understanding that no two students are the same, with the ability to adjust your approach to suit individual needs.
Strong Communication:
Clear, respectful communication with students, staff, and parents to ensure everyone is aligned on goals and progress.

Location:
Slough
Full Time:
