We create high impact activities with local employers to inspire young people, educate them about opportunities and give them the skills they need to be successful in the workplace.

About the roleThis role will deliver events to young people, teachers and business ambassadors to bring the world of work alive. It will include project management of events and activities from initial order through to on the day delivery, finishing with full evaluation and review.
Responsibilities- Interact with and present content to young people who may still be at school (aged 5-19 years), college or not in employment, education or training in 1-2-1 or group sessions.
- Create a project plan with milestones to be agreed with the manager of the project for each event allocation.
- Liaise with and recruit business ambassadors to support delivery during activities using their industry knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to inspire young people about the world of work.
- Liaise with key personnel in partner organisations to deliver common objectives.
- Design and produce presentations and materials for workshops or events aimed at young people, business volunteers, teachers or parents.
- Understand and adhere to reporting procedures for funders, evaluating all work in a timely manner to review, record and publicise.
- Salary:
Starting from FTE £27,000 per annum depending on experience. - Full time: 35 hours per week (Part-time, Term time only will be considered).
- Hours:
8.30am to 4.30pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Hours will be flexible depending on Event timings. - Location:
Office base in Slough. Flexible Working Policy in place. - Travel to various schools/locations in and around the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire area.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to adapt your style according to the situation.
- Proven project management expertise to understand and plan project milestones, the ability to work on more than one project at any one time.
- Ability to confidently use virtual communication platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams.
- Good IT skills and experience working with databases.
- A full and clean driving licence and the daily use of a car.
- Up to date knowledge of the secondary education system.
- Local knowledge of the schools and businesses in the area.
