This well-established FE college is continuing to expand its Apprenticeships provision and is looking to appoint a Technical Skills Coach to support Heavy Motor Vehicle apprentices. With a strong reputation for investing in staff, the college offers full assessor training, modern systems, clear progression routes, and an excellent benefits package.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them through their apprenticeship journey from initial assessment through to Gateway and End Point Assessment. You will provide coaching, mentoring, and assessment, working closely with employers to ensure apprentices develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motor vehicle professional who wants to move into education and assessment, with full training and assessor qualification support provided if required.

The Role:

Full training and assessor qualification support provided

Managing a caseload of Heavy Motor Vehicle apprentices

Coaching, mentoring, and assessing apprentices in the workplace or remotely

Supporting apprentices and employers through Gateway and EPA

Conducting progress reviews and monitoring off-the-job training

Using e-portfolio and tracking systems to monitor progress

Excellent work-life balance and strong benefits

The Person:

Industry experience as a motor vehicle technician

Relevant vocational qualification or degree

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

Organised, professional, and learner-focused

Willingness to gain assessor qualification (if not already held)

Strong communication and IT skills
