£40 to £45 per hour

Full-time contract, 37 hours per week, initially until Easter

This further education college is well regarded for its apprenticeship provision and works closely with local employers to deliver consistent, high-quality training. The plumbing department is established and organised, providing a stable environment for contract staff.

This role focuses on managing a caseload of Plumbing and Domestic Heating apprentices, supporting them through on-programme learning, Gateway, and End Point Assessment preparation. The position is site based, combining employer visits with structured coaching and assessment activity.

The Role

• Manage a caseload of Plumbing and Domestic Heating apprentices

• Carry out workplace visits, progress reviews, and assessments

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to apprentices

• Support apprentices and employers through Gateway and EPA readiness

• Maintain accurate and timely learner records

The Person

• Occupationally competent in Plumbing or Domestic Heating

• Assessor qualification A1, TAQA, or equivalent

• Experience working with apprentices in a skills coaching or assessing role

• Confident working independently and managing your own caseload

• Level 2 English and Maths
