Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Lecturer in Multi Trades to join our Structural Technologies Department at Slough and Langley College working on a full-time permanent basis.

Lecturer in Multi Trades

The Lecturer in Multi Trades role pays on the Academic pay scale between T1 £ 31,633 and T11 £ 45,341 per year depending on qualifications and experience. This role involves working 37 hours per week Monday – Friday.

The Lecturer in Multi Trades focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for Learners studying a Level 1 Multi Trade Qualification. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering instruction, setting individual student targets, and conducting regular assessments. The lecturer will also act as a tutor, providing both academic and pastoral support to students, including those with behavioural and educational difficulties.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining detailed student records, collaborating with parents and employers, and contributing to the development and quality assurance of the curriculum.

To qualify for this position, applicants must hold a minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant trade sector and a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. We are seeing someone who has experience teaching learners with behavioural and educational needs and be able to effectively embed functional English and maths skills into the vocational curriculum. A level 4 or 5 Teaching Qualification is highly desirable.
