Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience supporting children’s mental health in a school setting?
A good mainstream primary school in Slough is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to work in psychology, counselling, or education, offering valuable experience working directly with children who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
Within this role, you will work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive outcomes
- Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Provide both 1:1 and small group interventions
