Overview

Cover Supervisor — Langley, Slough

Salary: £23,929 - £25,450 per annum •
Contract: Full Time Term Time Only (37 hours per week) •
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

Reed Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Langley, Slough, to recruit a Cover Supervisor for a September start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education or take the next step in a school-based role. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital part in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
  • Ensure students remain on task and follow the lesson plan provided
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students with their learning where appropriate
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Report back on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence managing groups of students
  • A calm, professional, and proactive approach
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in education
