Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking for flexible work in Slough? Milk Education, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated Supply Teacher (SEN) to work across a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools on a supply basis.

As a Supply Teacher (SEN), you’ll be:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, MLD, SLD, SEMH, and more.
  • Adapting lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each learner.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes progress and confidence.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Provide high-quality teaching that supports pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Implement and review EHCP targets, using assessment to monitor progress and adapt learning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including hearing impairments, communication needs, autism, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Essential

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
  • Previous experience within SEN or specialist education is desirable.
  • Experience working with deaf children or knowledge of hearing impairments, BSL, or Total Communication is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour management, and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
