Head of Business Studies – Slough

Are you an ambitious and inspiring Business Studies teacher ready to take the next step in your leadership journey?

We are currently seeking an exceptional Head of Business Studies to join a thriving and supportive secondary school in Slough from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Studies teacher or current middle leader to lead and develop a successful department, driving excellence in teaching, learning, and student achievement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the Business Studies department while fostering a culture of high expectations, innovation, and academic success.

Key Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a proven track record of delivering outstanding Business Studies lessons at Key Stage4 and Key Stage
    5.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop both students and colleagues.
  • Be passionate about raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
  • Have excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to drive departmental improvement and innovation.
  • Possess outstanding classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders, colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to promote excellence across the school.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Business Studies department.
  • Develop and implement an ambitious and engaging curriculum.
  • Monitor and improve student progress and attainment.
  • Support, coach, and develop teaching staff within the department.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider strategic vision and success of the school.
