A thriving school in Slough is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support & Intervention Assistant to join their supportive team from September.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a strong desire to make a positive difference in their education and development. You will need to be confident, patient, calm and able to communicate effectively with young people.
As a SEN Support & Intervention Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils access their education, develop their confidence and make progress both academically and socially.
SEN Support & Intervention Assistant - Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with special educational needs to access learning and reach their potential
- Providing targeted 1:1 support and intervention for pupils who require additional help
- Supporting behaviour for learning and encouraging positive engagement in the classroom
- Helping pupils understand and follow teacher instructions
- Working with individuals and small groups within the SEN department
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development
- Monitoring, recording and tracking pupil progress
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
