We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Performing Arts department, teaching pupils across KS3 and GCSE.
Location: Easily accessible via public transport for those without a car
Salary: £25,000 to £45,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Requirements:
- 1st or 2:1 degree preferred
- Previous experience teaching music to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Proficiency in playing and teaching at least one musical instrument
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in music education
- A deep passion for music and a commitment to inspiring and nurturing students’ musical talents
- Being highly qualified from a renowned music university
- Having at least 3 years of teaching experience
- Must hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
- Develop and implement engaging music curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of students
- Teach music theory, history, and performance techniques
- Provide individual and group instruction on various musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, violin, etc.)
- Organise and oversee student recitals, performances, and competitions.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and personal growth
