Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with a passion for prototype vehicle development and the ability to lead by example? We are seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to play a key role in the build, integration, and validation of cutting‑edge vehicle programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines hands‑on technical expertise with strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of automotive industry standards.

As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the build and development of prototype vehicles while ensuring work is carried out to the highest OEM standards. You will act as a technical leader within the workshop, helping to guide and support colleagues while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance throughout the build process.

• Lead the electrical integration, assembly, and commissioning of prototype vehicle programmes.
• Support vehicle build activities from concept through to testing and validation.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with OEM best practices and industry standards.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation required for vehicle type approval, safety compliance, and engineering records.
• Support the development and implementation of safe working practices for high‑voltage systems.
• Provide informal leadership and technical guidance to technicians and build teams.
• Drive quality standards and ensure adherence to Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, test, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve build processes.

• Proven experience in prototype vehicle build programmes within the automotive sector.
• Background working to OEM‑level processes, standards, and quality expectations.
• High Voltage (HV) trained, ideally with experience of 800V vehicle architectures.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, harnesses, diagnostics, and integration.
• Experience producing technical documentation to support type approval and vehicle safety compliance.
• Good knowledge of Conformity of Production (CoP) principles and quality management processes.
• Natural leadership skills with the ability to influence, mentor, and support colleagues without direct management responsibility.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
