The Opportunity

A leading manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its highly automated production facility in Slough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable role within a well-invested site that offers long-term career development and ongoing training.

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production machinery, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production and packaging machinery
PLC fault finding and diagnostics at I/O level
Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
Working on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, conveyors and gearboxes
Root cause analysis and fault elimination
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with engineering standards
Minimising downtime and maximising equipment performance

Skills & Experience Required

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification
Time-served engineering apprenticeship
Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Technician
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
Mechanical maintenance experience
PLC fault-finding experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Experience with in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging, automated warehousing, logistics or production environments
