About the Role:We’re looking for a experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you’ll Lead day-to-day commercial activities on large scale high-value HV projects. Your project portfolio will include a number of Data Centre pojects across the South East. You'll work closely with the commercial & engineering teams, clients, and key stakeholders to deliver on the commercial side of projects for H&MV.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities, including procurement schedule creation and monitoring.
- Ensure suppliers and sub‑contractors are managed in line with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Use agreed costing systems for allocation, coding, cost analysis, and Tender vs Construction comparisons.
- Maintain contract progress through regular updates, meeting milestones, processing payment applications, and updating obligations.
- Manage sub‑contractor accounts: selection, appointments, contracts, payments, and variation control, with ongoing liaison with clients and site teams.
- Lead contract negotiations, participate in handovers with estimating, and escalate value changes or issues to senior management.
- Produce and present monthly cost reports while supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members.
- University Degree in Quantity Surveying, or another relevant field, is desired.
- Minimum 2-3 Years’ Experience in a MQS position.
- Proficient in Microsoft office features including excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve in a collaborative fashion.
- Team player who demonstrates high level of initiative.
