Volunteer - Cadet Scheme Leader (Slough)
Slough Cadet Unit is seeking volunteers to assist with our weekly cadet sessions. Cadets meet every Thursday during term times at Slough Police Station between 18:30 and 21:00, with occasional weekend and holiday activities.
As a Cadet Scheme Leader you will plan and deliver each session, supported by other leaders during the session.
Responsibilities- Plan and facilitate weekly cadet sessions.
- Ensure sessions run smoothly and safely for cadets aged 13–18.
- Collaborate with other leaders to support sessions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Enjoy working with teenagers and able to bring fun and engagement to sessions.
- Available to commit to regular sessions during term times.
- Internal volunteers can claim TOIL for this role or work during shifts.
- Role requires a level of police vetting as per Thames Valley Police Vetting Code of Practice; this may involve providing personal and family information.
- Please note that vetting can take longer than 30 working days due to operational demand.
