Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with a leading, fastpaced organisation to recruit a commercially focused Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a key finance business partnering role supporting senior commercial stakeholders and driving strategic decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will act as a true financial copilot to the commercial leadership team, providing insightful analysis, challenging performance, and influencing business outcomes through strong financial stewardship and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities Partner closely with Commercial Leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making. Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end close activities and ongoing performance analysis. Deliver actionable insights around client profitability, resource utilisation, gross profit performance, business risks, and growth opportunities. Support and challenge commercial teams on pricing strategies, discount structures, and investment opportunities. Manage the commercial planning process, ensuring accurate forecasting of revenues, costs, discounts, and trade spend.

Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to maximise business performance. Drive continuous improvement across planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement processes. Leverage finance systems and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and decision-making. Ensure strong governance, compliance, and financial controls, including supporting internal and external audits. Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.

About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience. Proven commercial finance experience with strong business partnering capability. Previous experience managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, pricing analysis, ROI assessments, and P&L performance. Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling, Pivot Tables, Lookups, and complex data analysis. Experience using Power BI to deliver meaningful business insights. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior level.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform complex financial data into clear commercial recommendations. Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable Experience Previous experience within media or advertising, or similar dynamic industries. Exposure to SAP, S/4

HANA, BPC, SAC, Salesforce, Tableau, or comparable systems. Knowledge of US GAAP.
