We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker specialising in Learning Disabilities Team in Slough, UK.

This part‑time locum position comes with an hourly rate of £37 to £38
, providing flexibility and ongoing employment with full‑time working arrangements. Nestled at Observatory House, Slough, and part of the prestigious Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD), this role offers the chance to make a real difference.

• Conduct Care Act (2014) assessments, risk assessments, and create support plans to identify and meet eligible needs.
• Carry out Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments and make best interest decisions as required.
• Manage complex care and support cases, including reviews and safeguarding enquiries.
• Contribute to Continuing Healthcare (CHC) processes, including checklist completion and engaging in multi‑agency discussions.
• Prepare and submit Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) applications.
• Collaborate with health and social care professionals to promote person‑centred, outcome‑focused support.

To excel in this role, you will be a qualified Social Worker ideally with experience in an Adult Learning Disability team and knowledge of the Liquid Logic (LAS) case management system. Expertise as a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) is highly preferred.
