You need to be a strong Employee Relations Case Advisor as you will co-ordinate and support the full range of the employee relations casework within the Mental Health Services Division. You will provide Human Resources and Case Management advice and support to a range of managers dealing with sickness absence, disciplinary, performance, early resolution and other employee relations issues. All of our cases are logged on trackers so experience and working knowledge of Excel and MS Teams is essential.
You must be able to demonstrate your experience of advising on NHS Terms and Conditions of employment. If you have generalist and employee relations advisory experience within the NHS

Main duties of the job You will support the People Business Partnering team in your Division in the provision of a comprehensive professional and high-quality HR service. You will work closely with the People Business Partnering team to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective human resource service, which includes employee relations case management, recruitment, workforce planning, health and well-being and absence management The postholder must be able to travel to all BHFT sites as and when role requires
The must haves for this role:
1. Holding a level 5 CIPD qualification, or equivalent experience
2. Experience of working in a generalist HR or Employee Relations Advisory role in a multi-skilled professional and unionised environment.
3. Able to interpret terms and conditions of employment
4. Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure in time sensitive situations
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal reasoning, presentation skills, influencing & persuasion skills., Education/Qualifications Essential
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Working towards or holding a level 5 CIPD qualification
- Experience of working in a HR role in a multi-skilled professional and unionised environment.
- Experience of working in a customer-driven service
- Experience of providing HR advice within the NHS
- Sound and up to date knowledge of employment law
- Good understanding of HR best practice, Ability to travel to multiple sites
