Data Center Engineer

Slough, UK | 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (Days & Nights) | 24/7 operational environment

We are looking for proactive Data Centre Engineers to join a high-availability operations team supporting critical infrastructure across multiple client sites in the Slough region.

This role sits at the heart of live data centre environments, ensuring continuous uptime, connectivity, and performance across complex network and cabling systems.

• Performing structured cabling, patching, and network connectivity tasks
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining data centre hardware and infrastructure
• Troubleshooting and resolving faults to ensure minimal service disruption
• Carrying out routine checks, preventative maintenance, and system updates
• Working closely with wider technical teams to support operational continuity
• 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
• 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
• Includes day and night rotations
• Participation in an on-call rota as part of a 24/7 environment

• Experience working within data centre, IT infrastructure, telecoms, or similar technical environments
• Understanding of structured cabling, patching, and basic network infrastructure
• Comfortable working in shift-based, high-availability environments
• Willingness to work across multiple client sites within the region
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Work within critical live environments supporting enterprise-level infrastructure
• Exposure to multiple client sites and complex technical systems
• Structured shift pattern providing consistent time off
