The business has decades of experience in international freight forwarding and supports customers with complex global supply chains, specialist customs services and expedited transport solutions.

• £38,000‑£48,000 depending on experience

Working as part of a specialist operations team, you will be responsible for managing both import and export shipments, with a particular focus on exports for a key aerospace customer. This highly operational role requires attention to detail, urgency and excellent communication. You will also play a vital role in coordinating Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments, ensuring critical aircraft parts and components are moved as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise downtime.

• Manage air freight import and export shipments from booking through to delivery
• Coordinate UK and European road freight movements
• Handle urgent AOG shipments with speed and precision
• Complete customs clearances and ensure full compliance
• Liaise with airlines, hauliers, overseas partners and customs authorities
• Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to customers
• Prepare and check all freight documentation
• Resolve operational issues and ensure service levels are consistently achieved

• Previous experience within air freight operations (imports and exports)
• Exposure to road freight operations
• Experience completing customs clearances
• Knowledge of AOG or other time‑critical freight is highly advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise urgent shipments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently on night shifts
