Air & Road Freight Operator – Colnbrook

Night Shift – Monday-Friday, 9:00pm-5:00am – £38,000-£45,000

Working as part of a specialist operations team, you will manage import and export shipments, focusing on exports for a key aerospace customer, coordinate AOG shipments, ensure compliance, liaise with airlines, hauliers, overseas partners and customs authorities, monitor shipments and provide proactive updates, prepare documentation, and resolve operational issues.

• Managing air freight import and export shipments from booking through to delivery
• Coordinating UK and European road freight movements
• Handling urgent AOG shipments with speed and precision
• Completing customs clearances and ensuring full compliance
• Liaising with airlines, hauliers, overseas partners and customs authorities
• Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates to customers
• Preparing and checking all freight documentation
• Resolving operational issues and ensuring service levels are consistently achieved

• Previous experience within air freight operations (imports and exports)
• Exposure to road freight operations
• Experience completing customs clearances
• Knowledge of AOG or other time‑critical freight is highly advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise urgent shipments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently on night shifts
