Description
Do you want to work on the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in the UK? We have opportunities across Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and West London. Amazon Web Services is looking for a motivated Logistics Specialist to support our Data Centres in Greater Western London. The role involves frequent lifting of materials up to 18 kg, manual assembly, stamping, arranging shipments, and coordinating daily delivery schedules.

Responsibilities also include maintaining precise records, adhering to strict safety standards, and traveling up to 50% within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport for support.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work closely with Data Centre Operations Technicians, Engineers, Rack Install and Infrastructure Delivery teams to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
  • Coordinate all inbound/outbound deliveries and liaise with vendors, couriers, carriers, transportation and inventory planning teams.
  • Receive and ship parts physically and logically, ensuring the Inventory management system is up to date and accurate.
  • Receipt and stowing of all Inventory & non‑Inventory items on the procurement system and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Responsible for accurate data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations.
  • Execute stock re‑balancing through transfers between locations locally and globally to maximise stock utilisation and availability.
  • Manage Inventory, perform regular cycle counts, optimise storage space for customer needs, and maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety of all workspace.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and projects based on business needs.
  • Handle Reverse Logistics (RMA) by interfacing directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics.
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, read).
  • Experience using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift loads up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in data centres with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.
  • Experience with shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices.
  • Experience in operations or inventory management.
  • Experience with database management systems.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Experience prioritising and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with domestic or international travel coordination.
